From Wikipedia : “Field recording is the technique for capturing the audible illustration of an environment, produced outside of a recording studio. A "field recording" is the actual recording that is produced.
Field recording, sometimes called Phonography, was originally employed as a documentary adjunct to research work in the field, but has since also found use as evocative art in itself.”
Classifields is our first compilation of field recordings but not only... Not only because we allowed artists to send us their recordings with acoustic and/or processed sounds. We just asked them to respect the phonography main theme.
Recordings were captured in Deutschland, Iceland, Belgium, Japan, Honk Kong, China, England and France... that’s why we invite you listening to the complete album as if it was a real story.

NOGARO domestic colours

Nogaro is a personal project of a very active guy : Sébastien Wilkin, well known in Belgium thanks his first band called Tongue (stopped in 2003 after supports for Piano Magic, Yuppie Flu, etc). Sébastien Wilkin is also the lead singer and composer of Silicon (including David Hougardy, guitar in Sweek). Nice galaxy !
In "Domestic Colours", Nogaro delivers some quiet electro-pop pieces... Enjoy.

RAINIER LERICOLAIS adagio ma non tanto

On "Adagio Ma Non Tanto" the french sound-designer and contemporary artist Rainier Lericolais offers to us five electro-acoustic and minimal compositions. Around piano, processed sounds and fieldrecordings, Rainier Lericolais invites the japonese poetess Ryoko Sekiguchi to declaim some texts in her native language and also in a lovely french. Geoffroy Montel from Minizza is part of those pieces doing some drones. Last but not least, Pierre-Yves Macé did the master work.

UN AUTOMNE A LOB-NOR bye bye

Unfortunately for us, the french band un automne à Lob-Nor is over: Sebastien Roux is now performing under his own name, Vincent Nicolas under the nickname of Bidibop, Jean-Nicolas Heillouis and Alexandre Gouy are known under Pan European. They had kept some tracks on their hard drive for too long now. Today, they are happy to remove dust from and to show them to you. A bit more than 27 minutes of music, is this a long EP or a short LP ?... Whatever, it is called "bye-bye" and we hope you'll enjoy it!
Tracks #1 and #2 have been initially released on some compilations from Intercontinental records and Simballrec, respectively. Tracks #3 and #4 have never been released so far.
