JUMBO JET est le projet de Jean-Michel Leclercq.
En 1981, David Bowie et son 'ashes to ashes', provoquera chez ce liégeois une attirance pour les mondes étranges. A 18 ans, sa première guitare le poussera vers une écriture lo-fi. "Argument pratique" pour reprendre ses dires. En 1999, un voyage en Amérique latine l'ouvre au monde. Peu après,'Tom Sweetlove' voit le jour. Ensuite, une première machine achetée et voilà Jumbo Jet propulsé dans les airs. Fin 2004, nouveau voyage, au Laos cette fois, avec comme objectif de capter des sons et en faire un mini album. C'est chose faite aujourd'hui. Le ep s'appelle "elle m'a dit d'aller siffler lao sur la colline" et paraît donc sur carte postale...

JUMBO JET is the project of Jean-Michel Leclercq.
In 1981, David Bowie with his ‘ashes to ashes’ made Jean-Michel attracted to strange worlds. At 18, his first guitar pushed him into lo-fi writing… ‘Practical reason’ as he says. In 1999, a trip to South America opened him to the world. Shortly after that, ‘Tom Sweetlove’ came to life. Then, a first device bought and Jumbo Jet took the sky. At the end of 2004, another trip in Laos, this time the idea was to capture sounds and make a mini album of it. This is done today… The EP is called “elle m’a dit d’aller siffler lao sur la colline" and is released by carte postale...
