Originaire de malmédy, mais ayant grandi à liège, les goûts musicaux de jonathan burnay furent d'abord orientés vers les musiques acoustiques. C'est à ce moment qu'il commenca la guitare. Au début de son adolescence, il découvrit l'électronica. C'est tout naturellement qu'il décida de commencer lui même à composer, afin de pouvoir exprimer tous les sentiments l'habitant.
Au fil du temps, il se rattacha à des productions alliant electronique mélodieuse, et parfois des éléments acoustiques. Les mélodies soignées, instinctives et mélancoliques s'entremelent au gré des rythmiques...
Sons de guitares, d'orgue ou de xylophone représentent bien les sonorités de HUMBERT UTZ...

Born in malmédy and grown up in liège, jonathan burnay was initially inspired by acoustic music. At that moment he started playing guitar. At the beginning of his teenage years he met electronic music. Naturally he decided to start composing himself in order to express every single sentiment he had inside him.
Gradually, he found his way towards creations mixing melodious electronic and sometimes acoustic elements. Melodies are neat, instinctive, definitively melodious blend together nicely with beats.
Elements of guitar, organ or xylophone are representative of HUMBERT UTZ ’s sounds..
